Interlibrary Loan service enables you to obtain materials that are not available in Tel-Aviv University libraries from other libraries in Israel and overseas sources, subject to copyright.

As of November 1st 2018 Interlibrary Loan services will be given at no charge  

Students and academic staff will be able to order scans and loans from Israel and abroad at no charge for research, teaching and study purposes only. Orders that do not meet these criteria will be charged.

 

Requests

1. Find the full bibliographic details of the item / publication requested with the aid of the catalogs, databases or search tools such as DaTA.

2. Fill in the appropriate form: Request Form with Sing-in.

If the item was not ordered for teaching, research or studying purposes, or is available in one of TAU libraries the order will be with payment. Before the request is processed, the exact price will be sent to the requestor to the university E-mail account.

3. The requestor must confirm/cancel his order by return mail.

Retrieving material

When the item/publication arrives, an email will be sent to the requestor.

Electronic-format: will be emailed after payment.

Paper copy: the item will be kept for one week at the ILL Department.

If no reply was received, after one week from the date of the order please contact ILL department for the status of your order.

Returns

Items in paper format must be returned to the ILL department

The loan period and extension

The duration of the loan period is determined by the lending library.
ILL Department will provide an item with the best loan terms available.
The due date will be supplied when the item is received.

To extend the loan period, contact the ILL department.
If extension is denied the item must be returned on time.
